Student Retention Enhancement Across Mathematics and Science

Science and Math Activities

The Conant Science Building is the nerve center for a range of activities hosted by departments and clubs in the Bartlett College of Science & Mathematics.

Departments in the Bartlett College of Science and Mathematics offer a variety of activities to both the student body and the faculty. The College’s signature Class of 1942 Lecture Series brings speakers to campus in each discipline annually.

Weekly activities include the Chemistry Seminar Series and the biology department’s Friday Informal Seminar Hour (FISH), both of which feature both BSU student work and guest lecturers. The BSU observatory is open most Wednesdays (pending weather) for public viewing, and BSU students can learn about astronomy and the night sky by working in the observatory running public and private viewing nights.

Within the residence hall, RA’s, and other student mentors, develop activities, many of which have a science and mathematics theme.
