Students in the College of Science & Mathematics should expect small classes with excellent professors and upper class peer mentors who will help them succeed.
At Bridgewater State University, student learning comes first. Introductory classes in biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics and physics are small, about 30 students or less. These classes are further supported by a novel use of upperclassmen who lead groups of six to ten students through structured learning activities that promote deeper learning.
STREAMS supports new approaches to teaching and advising including inquiry based learning, the Summer Program, Structured Learning Assistance, and improved transfer student advising.
