Open Lab Night 2019
Open Lab Night provides members of BSU's regional community the opportunity to experience the excitement and relevance of science to everyday life; allows undergraduate students to assume leadership roles in communicating scientific concepts to the general public; and increases the community’s awareness of the excellent science and mathematics education and resources available at BSU. Registration is now open!
Darwin Day 2020
Darwin Day is an international celebration of Darwin’s theory of evolution as well as a day dedicated to science communication and outreach, celebrated on or near the birthday of Charles Darwin. Community members are welcome to join faculty, students and staff for a day-long event that includes natural history displays, faculty and student presentations, and a keynote presentation by Dr. Patty Brennan.
Greenlight for Girls is an international organization dedicated to inspire girls of all ages and backgrounds to pursue STEM subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - by introducing them to the world of science in fun and exciting ways. The Center for the Advancement of STEM Education and the College of Education at Bridgewater State University partner with Greenlight for Girls to offer a Greenlight for Girls STEM event, where we welcome 150 girls (aged 11-15) from local communities to join us for an exciting day filled with hands-on science & technology workshops guided by STEM role model professionals, BSU faculty and staff.
