Veterans Services & Military Affairs

The mission of the Military Affairs Office at Bridgewater is to assist veterans, national guard members, reservists, and family members in taking full advantage of all benefits available to them as well as assist in the transition from military service to student life at the university. The office provides advocacy, and we have networks and resources on and off campus that benefit the student community.

Important: All veteran & military students must contact the Financial Aid Office Bridgewater State University to certify their military benefits.

Veteran services offers a supportive atmosphere where veteran students and current service members can discuss and address issues and concerns with the university Veteran Services Representative.

Military Education Transcripts to Transfer Credits

You may be able to receive Bridgewater State University credits for military courses and college-level exams completed during active duty. This is the veterans’ Web site for the state of Massachusetts. It includes information on benefits, employment and training, honors and records, housing, outreach and counseling, women veterans, and returning veterans.

Citizen Information Service

Massachusetts provides a uniform program of financial and medical assistance for indigent veterans and their dependents. Qualifying veterans and their dependents receive necessary financial assistance for food, shelter, clothing, fuel, and medical care in accordance with a formula which takes into account the number of dependents and income from all sources.

Air Force ROTC

Through a cross-enrolled program with Boston University, interested Bridgewater students may participate in Air Force ROTC. Scholarship opportunities may be available to eligible students.
