Deadlines

Priority Deadline Date

To be considered for the maximum financial aid available, you should file your FAFSA or Renewal Application with the Federal Processing Center before March 1. The FAFSA may show a June 30 deadline, however, June 30 is the final date of the award year for receipt of applications, not the priority deadline. All applications received by the Federal Processing Center after March 1 will be considered for financial aid awards on a funds available basis. The FAFSA must be filed EVERY YEAR.

Direct Loan Deadlines

Promissory notes and Entrance Counseling must be completed and received by the Financial Aid Office by the deadlines listed below or your loan will be canceled.

New Direct Loans and/or increases in loan amounts must be requested by the deadline. This includes Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and Parent PLUS loans.

Once a Direct Loan is canceled, if it is after the deadline, it cannot be reinstated. There are no exceptions to this federal regulation.
