Bridgewater State University welcomes visitors to campus for its 2016 Commencement ceremonies. We host three ceremonies to celebrate our graduates. Please select the appropriate ceremony for your student’s program for additional details.
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS DURING COMMENCEMENT
Although Bridgewater State University does not anticipate any security problems during Commencement, public venues throughout the country are increasing security in light of recent events, and the university must take appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff, and guests.
Please observe the following restrictions for all Commencement activities on the BSU campus:
No backpacks, bags, oversized handbags or packages larger than a cubic foot – 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches – will be allowed under the Commencement tent or in any Commencement viewing area for Undergraduate Commencement and will not be allowed in the Rondileau Campus Center or in any Commencement viewing area for Graduate Commencement except in cases of medical need.
Inspections of bags might be required as you enter into Commencement venues.
Please Note: For undergraduate commencements, there will not be seating available outside of the tent, all seating will be ticketed. Students who fill out the reply form on the Commencement website will receive 4 guest tickets. If there is an opportunity for an additional ticket, students will be notified by Tuesday, May 10.
Broadcast and Webcast
Commencement ceremonies will be broadcast on Bridgewater Town channel 98 (on campus channel 11). The Graduate Commencement ceremony will be broadcast on Wednesday, May 11, at 7:00 pm. Both Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies will be broadcast on Saturday, May 14, at 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
