Non-Credit Programs and Courses
Non-credit courses, workshops and certificate programs allow individuals to acquire a specific skill or certification in a timely and affordable manner.
A note about non-credit classes: Non-credit courses are taught by professionals within their areas of expertise but, generally, the instructors are not faculty from Bridgewater State University. Ed2Go and MindEdge market their courses and programs nationally through partnerships with colleges and universities. BSU offers these courses for professional development as a community service. The non-credit courses listed here are not included in any degree program of Bridgewater State University, nor can they be considered as a pre-requisite for any degree program.
BSU Cape Cod, located in South Yarmouth, offers numerous non-credit professional certificate programs and workshops year-round. Programs are designed for business, non-profit organizations and in the social science area. Learn more+

The Citizen Leadership Program provides southeastern Massachusetts communities with training and resources for engaged citizen leadership.
The program uses a hybrid model. We will ask you to join us in person for two evening seminars and to also complete our online training modules. The online modules can be completed on your own schedule over a six week period.
The cost of this program is subsidized by the Institute for Policy Analysis and Regional Engagement. Many of our trainers are also community experts who provide their services voluntarily. Because of this generous support, our program is provided at no cost to participants.
In order to receive the Citizen Leadership Certificate, participants must complete two in-person seminars and all online modules and exercises.
